i have one used Akira Desk Fan 16" given by neighborhood tenants who just went back Malaysia after work passes ended, so i guess it should be 2 years old.

Just tested and found the fan to be spinning smoothly & quietly, Rotation is likewise. It has 3 speeds (see second photo).
